Hum TV Network’s latest drama “Yaqeen Ka Safar” is making buzz these days with the gripping storyline and Dr. Asfandyar becoming the limelight and stealing the show with his performance. The character of Dr. Asfandyar is being depicted by Ahad Raza Mir who is the son of legendary actor Asif Raza Mir.
Ahad has become the latest crush for Pakistani women and we just can’t get enough of him. The urge and curiosity to know more about Ahad is increasing day by day and that is why we are bringing you the interview of your favorite and Pakistan’s new obsession, Ahad Raza Mir.
Ahad has lived most of his life in Canada where he studied BFA in Drama from the University of Calgary, Canada. He also did theatre for a couple of years which enhanced his acting skills even more, though acting runs in his genes. We as Pakistanis are super glad to have a new star in our industry who will represent Pakistan in the best possible way. More power to this young talent.
The biggest reason is because of his transformation and the journey that he goes through. I thought what an interesting experience it would be for viewers to join this character through such a big transformation. I relate with Dr. Asfandyar in many ways, in fact I found it tougher to play the happy go lucky Asfi, than Dr. Asfandyar. He keeps everything bottled up inside and refuses to show how he really feels. I think a lot of people can relate to that.
I would never have thought that this would be a question I’d ever have to answer. It’s an honor that people are enjoying my work and the response has been very overwhelming.
I’m a celebrity? Honestly I just love the work. And if I’m being recognized for it I’ve learned that now I need to work even harder.
NM: I guess you are a big celebrity now, we are proud of you. Tell us what do you do when you’re not working?
I try to live by this rule of learning something every month. It could be music, food, art or languages, but I try to find time to build myself as an individual and as an actor. Along with that I watch a lot of films.
NM: That’s interesting, so Ahad if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would change my indecisiveness. I struggle to chose between which shampoo and conditioner to use. Imagine how I deal with life decisions.
NM: Haha! One decision you really regret?
Anytime I don’t listen to my parents.
NM: Your current obsession?
Becoming a better actor.
NM: This has to be the most interesting question Ahad, Tell us one thing about yourself which will surprise people.
I’m the first Pakistani/Desi to win the award for Best Actor in a Musical at the Calgary Critics awards.
NM: Oh, That’s great! Congratulations. And tell us about your upcoming movie?
When a lot of films about Pakistan’s armed forces focus on the action element of the film, this film really focuses in on the lives of our pilots and the journey they have from being a Cadet, to flying their first mission.
NM: We can’t wait for the release Ahad, Good luck! Please share your experience with Vogue Amour?
My experience has been fantastic and I appreciate Vogue Amour for taking the time to ask me some great questions.
