NM: How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start in the industry?

AM: I discovered my obsession for makeup about a couple years ago, but I officially took it off as career in December 2015 as a Makeup artist. And to my surprise, I received a lot of good response and boosting without which I probably would not have been able to pull it off.

NM: Who is your inspiration?

AM: I believe make up is art, and I tend to get inspired by the look that is created by the artist which is the real art piece. I could be getting inspired by ten artists at a time in creating one specific look or either could be getting inspired by ten different looks by the same artist. So inspiration is something I can’t place a limit on when it comes to make up!

NM:  How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other make up artists?

AM:  My makeup style is more focused toward enhancing the facial features of a person while keeping it natural, so it really depends on which look would suit my client the most.  Also, I focus on giving a more natural glow that is not overly done like a 100watt glow. But a slightly more natural and in humor let’s say, a 75watt glow. For eyes I love doing all sorts of smokey eye and cut crease looks, and a tap of glitter on top never harms anyone!

NM: What are some newly introduced techniques and trends in the make up world?

AM: Makeup techniques change depending on the kind of look you’re moving forward with. Ombre lips and glittery eyes have been trending alongside the highlight craze!

NM: There is a dizzying world of skin/hair care and beauty products available. Which are your international and local favourite products?

AM:  A girl never has enough makeup to make her happy. And I know this because I always want more! If I have to pin point some favorites then in drug-store products Maybelline fit me concealer, nyx contour kit and Essence Lash Princess Mascara are my favorites! In international brands the the Becca Champagne Pop highlight, too faced better than sex mascara and Gerard/Kat von D lip color series are my favorites!

NM: What is one thing that anyone can do to be their most beautiful selves?

AM: Be confident, that’s the only key. Confidence allows you to feel beautiful from the inside and out whether you’re heading out with a full-face makeup or with just a lipstick on top, you need to be confident in the way you are carrying yourself, you will automatically feel beautiful.

NM: How do you handle a acne/freckled/wrinkled skin and succeed in coming up with a flawless foundation?

AM: Nobody has perfect skin. There is always some amount of acne/wrinkles/blemishes we all face in our everyday life, specially that one pimple that never goes. But thank god for concealers, they make the job super easy!

NM: The mistakes women should avoid when they make up themselves?

AM: NOT blending the makeup properly is definitely a mistake all ladies should avoid! Yes, be it eye shadow, or contour, or foundation or anything even if it’s blush, it NEEDS to be blended properly. Another commonly made mistake by many ladies is that they do not moisturize their skin before applying makeup. Moisturizing your skin is not a step you can skip ladies, your makeup will always flake if your skin isn’t moisturized.

NM: Products you use the most while you doll up your clients?

AM:  I mostly use MAC/MUFE foundations on my clients, alongside the Anastasia Beverly hill contour kit. I use a lot of morphe and urbandecay eye pallets with the ultimate inglot 77 liner paired with a couple others!

NM:  What are your future plans and projects?

AM: For now I’m planning on conducting the first ever master class this summer besides ongoing clothing shoots that require a makeup artist on set. Plans for expanding into a proper studio are also pending before the winter wedding season this year!
