The creativity-induced Indie Art and Craft Show was held on July 16th, 2017 at Royal Rodale Karachi which not only left me in awe but all the visitors of the exhibition who simply fell in love with it.

Varah Musavvir (The mastermind behind the Indie art & craft show)

Those who do not know, the show is home to hobbyists, independent artists, crafters and creative folks. They come from all over Pakistan to exhibit their best work and handmade products, to represent themselves, to create product awareness, to market their brands, to connect & network with fans, build clientele, and of course to have the time of their lives in the process!

As this is a post-Eid wedding season, so it turned out to be the perfect place to find novel handmade trinkets, jewelry, accessories and what not. It wasย even more fun to find vendors to wrap trousseau and beautify festivities.

One of the major reasons why I am in love with this show is FireFly. This brand provides its customers with the best quality customized stationary. I simply fell in love with their beautiful Islamic gifts and magnets.

Coming to the beauty products, one of the most loved skin-care brands, Food for Your Face by Firefly had also set up its stall in the Indie Arts and Crafts show and interestingly, the announced and introduced two of their new masks at the event.

Rangoli by Emm Zee turned out to be the perfect stall for the wedding season as the visitors were getting their mehndi applications as well as making the bookings too.

AK Toonify Is one of the brands which deserve a lot of praise for all the hard work which Abeer puts into her work creativity. She is a digital cartoonist who creates amazing toons out of your pictures and her creative artworks.

The stall of jewelry designer, U & Iย Aneesa Unus, was also present in the exhibition with her exquisite pieces. She sells one of the best designer jewellery which you wouldn’t find anywhere.

The most vibrant and attractive stall of the event has to be Blends by Sameeya who had her hand painted bags which were undoubtedly beautiful. The colourful chic bags definitely did reflectsย Sameeya’s hard work.

Abees Creativity had put up jaw dropping paintings for sale and display in the exhibition. The stall had a variety of paintings enhancing the richness of the event. The owner gifted me a small cute notepad too. Thank you guys!

I bought most of the notebooks from Creative Studios Ghazal Pirzada, a brand for customization. They had a variety of funky quotes written cushions, mugs, notebooks, keychains, etc and the best thing about the brand is that the prices were very reasonable.

My next stop was at the stall, Queen of Tarts. The stall was selling mouthwatering deserts. I and my cousins ordered few of their Nutella Brownies and I just have one word for it: scrumptious.

I also tried out the very famous Khowsuey from Hearty Chef and was not disappointed at all. Everything including the spices were perfectly balanced and it tasted exceptional. My taste buds were simply delighted.

Overall, the event was neatly organized and is simply one of the best exhibitions in Pakistan to find the most amazing crafters, artists and hobbyists under one roof giving you the opportunity to see their showcased products as well as a chance to bring them home.

PS. The event is listed as one of the top reasons to visit Karachi on an international travel website.
