3 Newly Tested Face Masks

Skin care is an essential part of my routine, and there is no other way to put this. A bright, glowy and smooth skin is on top of everyone’s most wanted list, and I am no stranger to it. Many a product that I have tried in my lifetime do not always live up to the expectation and claims that they make. So today posting reviews of the 3 skin care masks I recently tried and tested and want to post my final verdict.

So L’Oreal Paris sent me 2 PR packages in sets of 3 and 2 masks respectively. One PR package had 3 detox mask but unfortunately, only 1 of them was a bit suitable for dry skin.
The other PR package had 2 of their newly launched mask but only 1 had promising results.

It didn’t take me very long to give each of the masks a good try and wait out the results and after effects for a few days.
The tiny glass bottles that housed the mask were packed beautifully and it was no less than a luxurious PR package. I was excited to get my hands on them and simultaneously nervous as I’m very picky about my skin care products and they often disappoint me.

So, I tried them out and this is what I have to say about them:

1. L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Bright Mask:

As claimed by the manufacturers, the masks contain Yuzu Lemon extract, known for its skin-evening properties. Scooping out a heap ton out using a face brush, I found the texture smooth and silky enough for even application. Embedded within the mask were tiny beaded particles that made it great for scrubbing off dead skin and exfoliating it for a more radiant and plumped up glow.
I cleaned up my face first before the applications. The mask should ideally stay on 10-15 minutes or until its completely dry. Before washing it off with warm water, I scrubbed my skin with the mask still on for not more than 2-3 minutes and then washed it away.

The Mask yielded incredible results! My skin was definitely clearer, brighter and plumped up. Not only did it had minor skin brightening properties to it, I felt as if my impurities were all washed away after just one application. My skin instantly felt more energized and fresh and all in all, it worked out really well for me without drying out my skin!

2. L’Oréal Paris Detox Pure-Clay Mask:

One of the first things I noticed about this one was how amazing it smelled! Oh my oh my! It came in the same tiny and cute glass packaging and the smell made it even more worth it.
My procedure for its application was the same as the previous one. It glided right out to my skin and was so velvety, which is hardly what I expected it to be.
If I ever want to deep cleanse my face and get rid of my pores, this Pure Clay will be my holy grail. I applied it on my T-zones and cheeks and basically areas more prone to blackheads, and I was glad that my pores were all cleared up.
However, one downside to this included its drying properties. So I definitely needed a moisturizer after this one application.
The L’Oreal Pure Clay masks are available nationwide. In Karachi more specifically, it is available at Naheed Supermarket or you could even order it online from

Now moving on to the next product that I have been using for a while now.
The Body Shop’s Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask was a disaster and a complete waste of money that I personally invested in. You tend to get away with stuff when people all over social media are raving over a certain product.

I had pre-ordered the Mask and got it within a month, as expected.

The packaging was beautiful and chic. However, the bottle hardly even mattered when I tried out the product that was inside.
The mask was white, with clay like texture and had beaded particles embedded within it. I followed the standard procedure of applying it for 10-15 minutes and washing it all off with lukewarm water, and to say the least, I was disappointed.

It really didn’t make a difference to my skin, to be honest. Sure my skin looked slightly cleaner than before, however, It wasn’t worth the heavy investment as drugstore products cheaper than this one has yielded me way better results.

In fact, I’d say it had more of a placebo effect to it. You could only see as much as a difference as you’d want to just because you went through the effort of applying the mask.

This Mask is available on all Body Shop Outlets in Pakistan, however, it is cheaper if you pre-order it online.

This is it! I hope you guys like my review as much as I liked the L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks!
