Get Rid of Oily Scalp and Greasy Hair This Summer

Do you also wonder how to get rid of an oily scalp and greasy hair this summer?

Greasy hair can be the most unattractive thing for a girl, especially in the summers. We all know how summer calls for the bangs to be brought out, and to show off our new cuts and styles. It’s the time when we decide to let our hair loose and enjoy our new look, as well as the weather right?

So, do we actually know the best techniques to avoid such a problem?

The fact is, you can’t cure a problem until you find the cause. The reason our hair gets oily is due to sebaceous glands in your scalp, which produces excess sebum. The main time of year when you will suffer from this is, of course, SUMMER. An oily scalp will lead to itching, dandruff and, worst of all, an unpleasant odor. Another cause of an oily scalp could actually be genetics. There’s nothing we can do about that though, right? WRONG!

How To’s:

Shampooing your hair less can sound pretty unreasonable. But believe me when I tell you that shampoo strips your hair of oil, therefore, the more you shampoo your hair, the more sebum your scalp will produce.

If shampooing your hair is an everyday norm and an unbreakable habit for you, then the best thing to do is to invest in a shampoo that is specifically made to deal with greasy hair and an oily scalp. Know that such a shampoo will have a higher pH than that in a normal shampoo. Look for a shampoo which has a pH of 6.7 or higher.

Conditioning only the ends of your hair will avoid over load.

Use these tips and tricks to relieve yourself from an oily scalp and greasy hair and get ready to flaunt your shiny smooth locks this summer!
